The tt needs its 4 year service and since they're my nearest I'd like to use them.

What are they like? Please post anything contentious privately...

Not been there but have heard good things. I heard the service manager runs his own GT3. Having a fellow owner on the staff is a good start.

Had my 964 serviced by them for the last few years. They opened their new workshop last year. Friendly enough. Good point for me is they collect and return your car.

Have heard their geometry set-up isn't so good, and performance tyres in Cambridge are better for that sort of thing.

I used to use them as the gave good discount for older cars and collect wash and return. Good service however did the (what I believe from reading this forum) usual OPC trick of suggesting everything needed replacing on the car to the tune of several thousand pounds on a car worth circa 2 grand !

Cambridge performance tyres made a right mess of my mates VX220, their alignment rig was well out of kilter and they did not want to hear about it. (mate did not beleive them so checked himself on a level surface with straight bits of wood etc)

I took my newly acquired 993 there in December last year and was not very impressed at all.

Won't give you the entire saga, but they took ages to do the work (24k service), told me porkies about when it was ready etc.

I could give you a point by point bulletin, but in short, I was a new Porsche owner, could have been a future customer for years, but immediately switched my business elswhere.

They were bloody expensive but my decision was nothing to do with the cost. It was entirely down to the poor customer service.

It's a real pity because they are just up the road from me, andthe fact that I now drive miles to JZM should give an indication how crap I thought OPC Cambs were.

Generally they are very good, they have their moments like any big dealer, but would definitely recommend them.
