Dash Facia

I am considering changing the wood look dash for a stainless steel one. I have access to a facility to profile a sheet of steel and engrave if necessary. I would be nice to have the profile cut before I rip out the old facia but to get it profiled I need the measurements. Does anyone have a drawing of the facia or at least have a facia out than can be traced and sent to me? Here's hoping.

Hi, I've done a CAD drawing of the dash, heater surround and an extra instrument binnicle I'm making, next phase was to find someone to cut it out!!! I'll send it to you when I get home.

negotiate a price with them as you have done the hard work

Thanks Richard. I have AutoCAD and the profiling machine will accept a .dwg or similar drawing. If you could send the drawing to my E mail address in my profile then that would be great. Once I have the drawing I will take to my guy and get a price. I will let you know once I have a keen price. Thanks for your help.

I know Leven made the heater switch surround, did they make one for the main instruments as well? Can't see them listed on their w/site now.

I changed the wood facia for carbon fibre, so I have a template if anyone wants to use it, heater control panel too.

The set is £102 + Vat for the dash and the heater surround.You have to call Julie or Simon as they only have 2 or 3 in stock at any one moment.

The style the do is the carbon fibre effect, look on their site at the chimps ones to get a reference

You'll notice a huge difference between the cheaper brushed stainless ones and the ones Leven do, I've used both materials before at work and normal brushed stainless is about £35/sheet the textured stuff that leven use is imported from Germany and about £200 per sheet, it's horses for courses but brushed just looks chav when put next to the textured ones. Oh and be very very carefull about clock diameters not all cars are the same even if the same model and even year, you might find you end up with a Lemon.
