hi, my jago is registered 16/12/72, its on an L reg as well, i am a bit away from mot time, but when thats done i intend to take the insurance and test certificates to the post office and enjoy receiving my free tax disk, i am un aware of any reason why it shouldn't be free, the cut off for tax exeption is jan 1st 1973, but if you can prove a vehicle was manufactured before that time(heritage certificate) sometimes the dvla will give exemption.

I see the Jeep has tax and mot - why not join a motoring organisation with recovery, and drive it back confident if it breaks down you will get home. Remember there is a qualifying time - about 48 hours before recovery becomes effective.
