Hi Everyone

I was just wondering, how much do you use your Tamora? Everyday? Going to the shops? etc. or just from time to time? How do people react when they see the car? Any bad jealous reactions? Do you park it in a garage or on the street?

.

I have now done about 5200 trouble free miles. The car is used reguarly for the occasional long run 200m+ but mostly on 20m runs to work. I do use it for nipping down to tescos or the school run but have yet to stick the dog in it !!!
The car is great and coming up to its first big service but with my local dealer now gone the nearest is probably about 3 hours away so Im thinking of going back home for that.
People generally stare but in a nice way, a loud orange car is bit unusual and mostly seems to raise a smile or grunts of admiration. Only Volvo drivers feel threatened by it !!!!

Every day whatever the weather!
10,000 miles in just under of a year.
A relatively short journey to work but lots of longer ones to various parts of the country at weekends.
Cheers.... Andrew

Well, I don't use mine every day but have done 12,000 miles now. No problems at all for me. The car goes back to TMS this weekend so I'm going to be TVR-less until I get my T350C...

The best TVR I've had and by far the most useable...

Not very much at the moment, the weather isn't to clever right now.. But always try to drive it in the dry, need to run it in before i can have some real fun! Can't wait for the summer, should be run in by then. Never leave the car on the street overnight or in car parks unless its for a very small duration of time.. this kind of car will make some people jealous but on the whole most people just shake their heads in amazement..

Thanks guys for the reply's

I'm getting my Tamora this weekend and are planning to use it as my everyday car, but I am getting a bit nervous about the weather. How slippery is it to drive in these winter times?

I use mine every day come rain, hail, snow, ice or the odd dry day

From my experience today, in the snow, you won't get much less (or more) traction than any other 2wd car. As long as you take care as you drive you won't have any problems. :touchwood: In fact the only problems I've had so far are the brake discs rusting a bit when I've left it out in the wet and cold for 3-4 days without use.

And when it is a bit drier you can open it up (or scare yourself silly if you can't wait )

I've just taken mine to Florence for a couple of weeks and other than the pipe for the windscreen washers coming apart, it behaved perfectly for all 2500 miles. Updated web-site with picies coming soon...

I only use mine in the dry, but when I was running it in I drove it in some really wet weather and if your careful she was fine. But I went under Goodwood race track through the tunnel and loved the noise so I floored it. Problem was a slight damp bit sent us sideways, not clever. All was ok but you learn and if your really clever you'll learn fast.

Enjoy your first days out.
