Sports exhaust advice
Discussion
I'm thinking of the above on my 996 (I'm starting the 993 transformation from the tail pipe , mowing forward)
I'm probably going to go for the non switcheable type ... Definately non OPC variety , But need it to be compliant with my OPC warranty.
Could I get Buying advice from those who have taken the plunge ...
-Prices , to both buy and install
-Which ones are least invasive
-Which ones sound the best
ETc Etc

Sporst exhaust is the single biggest difference you can make to a 996. Picking mine up in a few hours!

I fitted a fabspeed exhaust on my old 3.4l 996 _ just the back boxes & not the headers> Along with Fabspeed cold air kit & BMC filter< it made a great difference to enjoyment of car - hugely recommended. The Fabspeed sound is quite deep & not a screamer (unlike GT3 for eg). Quiet on steady throttle, but loud on gas. But it never failed a trackday noise test. Lots of people commented about how well the car went & im sceptical of performance claims, but it did seem to go better - maybe that was my driving! Only downside was a slight boominess/resonance at 2k> For the money (exhast £1k, kit & filter £300) recommended.

Nervous my old mate.
I am now off work for a while - we should have a curry.

Could people please refrain from using MY THREAD as a computer dating medium???
(I'm slightly jealous cos
.... I'm not invited
.... Indian currys are crap in Ireland)
In fact , if I can take a mo to hijack the thread , on the subject of curry , can anyone recommend one near High st. Ken? I stay around there quite a lot but haven't found a good TRADITIONAL Indian (no modern chic for me thanks).. Say within a 2 mile radius?? (sorry if this is ridiculously off subject , but if I find a good curry house , I can dispense with needing my exhaust to sound more 'sporty'!!)
