As the title suggests, it's all a bit odd.

My S was a wonderful car, and noisier than the wedge (in a different way), but there is something about wedges that seem more endearing....just what is it? Maybe it's because a black wedge (400) being driven in anger in 1989 that nearly had me over the bonnet made me look and listen to them(and if I could have stopped it turned the driver into a lime jelly)....

The more I fiddle with mine the more they intrigue me, and I find my mind wandering away from my plan which was to work my way to a griffith as soon as possible. Maybe it's because I don't like the fact that so many drivers of the 'new' tvr don't seem indoctrinated with the same lunacy that we seem to have...like my inability to come inside last night without making sure the wedge WOULD start no matter how long it take me or no matter how large the flame from the air intake or exhaust.

The only thing I do tend to have a bit of a problem with is the width of the drivers seat. Because I'm a little broad across the beam, I can only get comfortable if I shift slightly to the right, so my back is at an angle on the seat, and my shoulder slightly to the right leaning on the door. Funnily enough, I fitted the S perfectly, surprised me a bit that has as the wedge is a larger car.

Anyway, enough of my ramblings, wedginess, weird but there we go. There is definately something in me that just HAS to have a black 400se with bonnet vents and 5 spoke wheels. Weird indeed.

No, I haven't been drinking either.

If I had the money, I would buy that without even looking into it....That would do me for a very long time (and I don't normally say that about a car)

Perfect. Shame I'm lacking a few grand.

You're not wrong Mike. My car (well both of them really) is my hobby: it's a great excuse to buy all sorts of things you don't really need...

It's a nice one that gorvid, currently got my hands full with another 350i at the moment which I am enjoying tinkering with....it'll only go for a 400.
