What should I be using to flush out an engine that is sitting on a stand? I want to clean out the internals with a full strip down and wondered what to use as I guess petrol will leave a deposit?
Parafin is often used for internal cleaning. Be aware of the fire hazard, and the stuff will be midly toxic afterwards.
Would white spirit be OK... again bearing in mind the fire hazard?
