Hi ya Graham

Your best bet would be the Kent meet. Its held on the 2nd wednesday of the month, so Weds. week. It's only on the other side of the QE2 bridge at a pub on the crossways industrial site. directions on my site -

www.corvetteclips.co.uk/Directions.html

I doubt if I will be there as I will be working.

How close is that for a username then ?
Welcome to the world of Vette ownership. Not only the username we're close on either - I have a bright yellow '72 convertible.
Nowhere near you geographically, but maybe our paths will cross sometime, at a show or something.
CCCUK forums (www.corvetteclub.org.uk) is good for C3 owners, most on here have C4/C5/C6.

Hi Graham,

As Gixer says, your best bet is to hook up with the Kent guys. Once you get to know a few people you may consider starting something up in Essex, as it actually has the highest number of Corvette owners in the UK. Incredibly they don't have a regional meeting though, so there is definitely an opportunity there if you fancy it...

Good luck, hope to see you at one of the coming events. How about Wheels Day on good Friday at Aldershot?

Cheers... Pete

The CCUK needs a new Essex area rep......perhaps you could be the person

There are more Corvette owners in Essex than any other county in the UK (except Hertfordshire) and yet there is no area meeting 'cos no one wants to be the area rep.....

A few of us with Vettes get down to the Dick Turpin on the A127 at Basildon (eastbound, last pub before A130 spur for Canvey/Chelmsford) every Wednesday from 7-30ish during summer months (May - October)Mainly Yanks, Hot Rods, some heavy duty street& strip stuff plus odd classic. All are welcome (except hot hatches)

Thanks for all the replies :-)

I will definitely come down to a Kent meet-up and the Dick Turpin is only 15 mins away so I will come along there once summer starts.

The car is a bit sick at the moment :-( It was running great when I got it but it is running very rich and the plugs are sooting up and engine miss firing – but it’s going in on Wednesday for a service and tune up so hopefully I’ll be out and about in it a bit more… especially if it stops raining!!!

As for CCUK I am going to join in May, when their new subscriptions start… may consider starting something up re meetings rep etc, will have to see.

ZR1cliff – It’s a 350 V8 auto, good interior and had a lot of love spent on it – the engine gleams, I’ll try to upload a few pics.
