Speedo prob...

Hi all!
Just completed fitting front earrings (steve heath jobbies-very good prod, will get rears soon..) so only front of car has been on stands. Whilst under there I cleaned up a couple of connections (Oil press sender etc).
When I then went for a drive speedo no longer working. Cant imagine anything I`ve done to upset it. I did notice that when the fan cut in after the drive, there was slight movement so presumably ots not totally a goner....

Anyone any idea what I might have done, inadvertantly?

(took me nearly all day to get earring job done...getting old ones off a bstard of a job, dont underestimate them!!!)

Ha sthe Chim got the earting point onto the chassis on the o/s. If you've been in the wheel arch are then you may have knocked something. Anything else not working?

Cars actually a griff, yes earthing seems ok here and no other probs evident....

Seems strange, is anything working on the Speedo like the trip etc or is it all dead.
Did you disconect the battery when doing the work?

Trip appears to be working, tis LCD one and there is life....Didnt disconnect the battery, no. Was going to check it out again tonite but its bl**dy freezing outside at mo.....! And aint had my tea, yet!!
Will go for blast tomorrow, see if it has sorted itself out (as these things occasionally do...). Thanks guys, keep you posted.

Speedo now working again, still goes a bit bonkers when fans cut in but it does now work again...boggling!
