My old Lamborghini Espada
Discussion
I wonder if anyone here can help me.
Back in the late eighties, I owned a white Lamborghini Espada III which had one of my cherished numbers on it, namely J OO7.
A few years ago, burglars broke into my home and stole a lot of random things, including a lot of photographs of my Lambo.
At the moment, I am including pictures of my past and present cars on a website and would really love to find someone who may have photographed the car somewhere.
It appeared at Goodwood loads of times and some of the Italian car days.
I know it is a long shot, but can anyone find any.
Once again, the car was a white Espada Series III, registration mark J OO7.
Many thanks.
Pete

Pete,
I'm 99.9% sure I've seen 'J 007' on a green Bentley Continental GT last year in my home town of Liverpool.
Is there a way you can check what car it's allocated to now?

I recently sold the number to a chap with an Aston Martin DB9. Somehow looks better on an AM than a Lambo.
He entered in the last Gumball rally.
I would love some old pics of the Lambo and I would love to know where it is now.

Have you tried a posting on the Vintage Lambo Yahoo webgroup? The guys on there would be a good place to start

Thanks craig.
I have tried Lamborghini Registry, but they had no record of my old car.
Someone, must have some pics somewhere.

Who owned the number approx 12-24 months ago? This is really bugging me now. I'm positive it was on that Bentley!!!

When I sold the number, the guy put it on his Aston. I know that a few months later, he was interested in selling it again. Maybe he sold it to your Bentley owner. I am reliably informed that the number is now on retention awaiting a new car.

My buyer was in Manchester and has the initials IH (without giving away his name)
Hi Peter
I just ran through one of my old books : Lamborghini - supreme amongst exotics by Andrew Morland from 1985. There is a picture of 3 Espadas next to each other. A red, a silver and in the middle a white one. The license plate is difficult to read, but it seems to end with "007". Furthermore it has reflectors on the front bumper, a square reflector / indicator on the front fender and a round sticker in the top center of the windscreen. I believe the photograph is taken at Goodwood 1983 or 1984.
Could this by any chance be your Espada ???

Hi Jakob
Yes, that certainly is my old Lambo. I do have a copy of the book.
Since I posted this thread, the car has been located,
It now lives in Newcastle and is, incidently for sale.
Although, no longer in the concours condition that it was in, when I owned her, she is currently on the road and running well.
I was tempted to buy her back. However, once I budgeted for restoration of the bodywork and interior, it became apparent that it would be cost prohibitive.
Thanks for your reply.
