Looking for some ideas on what to do about the stupid rear foglamp add-on that's required for the SVA test. Any suggestions or experiences?

How did you wire it up?

I was luck as when it was imported back in 00 they fitted a wiring loom in with a switch so it was just a simple connect job, not much help really

I replaced the offside reversing light bulb and wired it to an illuminated switch by the steering wheel.

What kind of bulb did you use?

If yours is a Munro you wont pass SVA with the reverse lamp swap thingy - it's fine for MOT's, they just check it works - even the red & white lamps both illuminating when in reverse seems fine. I had to add a temp fog light to the back of mine as the fog lamp must be at least 150mm from the brake lamp. careful when mounting one under the rear bumber cos if my memory serves me well, gotta be 150mm clear of the deck as well. Final rule is it must be centre, or drivers side of centre. I flicked the temp one after leaving the SVA & the RHS red reverse lamp is wired to a illuminated switch just below the steering wheel.
