The one that I didn't have!! I think there is a standard Euro adapter that goes on to the end of a standard UK adapter. IIRC they've got a whole page in the new Argos book with this stuff in.

Bear in mind that the "towers" with the power on get very busy and if you get there late you may need some kind of two or three way adapter to be able to connect to it. I don't though have any idea where you might find one but our French neighbours supplied us with one when we were on Houx (it didn't help as I didn't have the right adapter to fit!).

Not so - not on Euro to English conversions. Looked high and low last year.

You need a standard Euro two pin adapter to the English three pin. About 50p in Tesco.

Or a proper one from a camping shop re-wired onto a 3pin 13amp x (as many as you want) gang

You don't - it is included. So make sure you take your fairy lights and we can try and drain the French National Grid.

Humm, Houx turning in to mini Spitfire-fest!

I'm in one of a pair of Yellow Spits that always seem to end up more or less opposite the Cafe.

Think I saw a few yellow Spits last year.
Will be in Houx again with Black Golf VR6 ,Blue VW Type 2 Camper & MPV, and hopefully in time to 'tent-up' and find a place to catch the Match

Suggest you arrive early in the week or the Houx electrical hook-ups will be taken by other campers.

We arrived Friday lunchtime last year and no leccy. There is perhaps 1 socket for every 2 pitches?

That's why you take splitter plugs as discussed above.

It's amazing just how many multi-block extension leads you can daisy-chain off of one French plug socket...

True that there isn't enough, but I would think more like 1 for every 6 or 8 pitches.

Also you find that some of the sockets have lots of duck tape round the hookup and their plug to stop others sharing. Don't know what the deal is here. Previously I've undone, and reconnected to a shared gang.

Is about £1.50

Take your home extention lead to plug into the back of it & you'll be fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine.

PS. bring fuses!

Well on the wall side the elec. posts alternate with the taps so 1 elec. post for every 4 rows of pitches, I think 8 sockets per post and around 5 pitches per row => 1 socket per 2.5 pitches.

I think this is mainly down to the minority of tts on the camp site who find all sockets taken so just un-plug something so they can plug their extension lead in (leaving the other plug just lying there).

I mean, it's not exactly hard or expensive* to pop to Carrefore, buy another multi-block then plug both your lead and the thing you unplug in to that now is it.

*E1.99 from memory - didn't exactly look that safe though admitidly
