On the way to work this morning the presenter was up in arms because of the cover of the G2 section of the Guardian. Not being my usual choice of reading matter, I bought one just to look at this heinous piece of work, only to find it is basically a blank page with 'Fcuk Cilla Black' written on it.

Am I missing something, I have thought that for years.

Personally I'm of the opinion that this is the most enlightened thing I've ever seen printed in the Grauniad..

At Glasto '98 I saw a fella wearing a T-shirt that simply said on the front:

Which I found then, and still do for some reason, profoundly funny!

Apparently the audenice was shocked when she announced she was leaving on the very first Live show. Even the producers didn't know.

Some artist decided this is art, I suppose it is some sort of statement in response to the earth shattering news that Cilla is to leave 'Blind Date'(the sooner the cackling hag does the better for me), the grauniad being trendy and lefty decided to print it, then some ****witted radio presenter decides the word fcuk is unsuitable reading matter for the under 16's.

Another fine example of modern brit art. Like Tracy Emin's bed - what the f**k was that all about? I expect Saatchi will cough up another 200k for this.

The word F**K no longer has the capacity to offend. In 1995 I ran a poster campaign for a sports shoe brand that uses a big F as it's logo. The strapline was "The best F in shoes". THEN it offended people (as it was supposed to) now it's just old hat after FCUK etc.....

Shows how out of touch the Graun is.

I'm pretty amazed the Grauniad managed to spell it correctly and it didn't come out as 'Fcuk'.
