Whilst changing my dash tonight, I managed to snap the end off the yellow triangular LED that is under the rotary heater controls. I was cursing myself as I'd been sooo careful with everything up until then. This one was just jammed in the dash too tight and wouldn't budge.

Anyway, before I spend hours searching Maplin, RS etc for a replacement - does anyone know off the top of your heads where I can get another from?

By the way, what happened to the Search function of Piston Heads? You used to able to search by an indidvual forum. now you simply get a Google search up that searches the whole of PH at the same time.

The Google search appears to be massively faster than the old search, so no loss there!

Try googling for "yellow triangular led" to see how quick it finds the above - quicker than I got it from my bookmarks in fact.

Had the exact same thing happen to me last month when I changed my dash, I got some from HHC in the end after chasing around for a while. Try Leven aswell because they were going to buy some from HHC. If not you can get green ones from Maplins. Still a pain you can do without, be careful when removing the old one because there is a resistor soldered to the led aswell, something else to trip you up!

Thanks for your help guys, and your offer Stringbag. Now I can get back to enjoying finishing the dash, putting in the iPod head unit and getting TVRBOB's "START" button wired (looks great mounted in the Leven dash in a new hole I punched out the panel).
