Help! TVR 350i sump question

Hi there, I've booked my jointly owned Tasmin 350i in on the TVR club snett track day.

But i've just been told that i need a baffled sump, can anyone tell me if that is so. And if so where can i find and fit one before the 24 of April!!!!!

Thinking about it i can't see it as being compulsory. Just better for your car if you have one.

Who told you that? I've done plenty of trackdays, including Snett. in my old 350, and that, nor the 400, had a baffled sump. In case you don't know, the idea is that it prevents oil surge under hard cornering (or I suppose braking) from uncovering the pickup. You're probably looking at £200 or so for one, but you you can help to avoid problems if you put a little more oil in the sump than max on the dipstick for the day.

Yep, that's what TVR told me for my 350i. Did plenty of track days with about 3/4 pint extra oil and no problems.

What they gonna do? X-ray your sump!? crossed wires me thinks.

The std 350i sump already is baffled

Its only a single horizontal plate, but it works well

The best baffled sumps come from John Eales Developments. About £250 ish.
