Which campsite is this.
Discussion
Ok, I've left everything a bit late but I've got a friends whos staying at a campsite which has a shuttle to and from the track. I know this doesn't narrow it down but he says its quite far away from the track and hes not going to get down till the friday morning so I don't know if hes on a campsite with reserved spaces. One last thing, I'm not sure if hes booked it through an operator but hes travelling by euro tunnel. Any experienced le man'ers got a clue which campsite hes on.
My friends useless, his fathers booked the trip and he just turns up for the fun.
Any ideas appreciated.
(Also any advice on last minute places to find camping. Do the tour operators still have spaces left. Whats the deal with the crossing. Will these likely be booked up unless I get an awkward time.)

Beausejour is very close to the Porsche curves, but miles from the "village" and start area. They therefore run shuttlebuses (Although not all night as we found to our cost).
If that's where your mate is, he'll be fine arriving Friday morning. We got there Friday 7pm-ish last year and there was plenty of space. We were at the very back of the field though.
It's also likely to have spaces direct from the ACO so you don't end up having to a) pay a fortune and b) won't be restricted to a minimum number of people per car like some of the operators try to enforce.
I'm going over on the Wednesday before, overnight boat out of Portsmouth to Caen or LeHarve (i' better check that), come back on the 11pm overnight boat on Sunday. Staying at one of the Callander Classic sites 'Upmarket camping' in the grounds of a french chateau with a shower block and toilet block and full english breakfast. Courtesy coaches available to and from the circuit throughout the race as well.
Very nice, very tasteful!
It'll be the first Le Mans outing for my S2 Elise as well!

I've been told that the campsites supposed to be next to the airport or airstrip where the drivers arrive on. I've been told this and that you supposedly don't need to pay to stay on the campsite you just drive on, even if it does has running water. Anymore ideas on which campsite this is.
Thanx

Starting to sound more like Parking Bleu which is technically a car park only with no camping permitted... and more importantly no-one chacking/giving a Dingos kidney if people are camping there.
Could be Aire D'Accueil Bleu (Camping Bleu) though wouldn't have expected any form of ACO provided shuttle from here - it's a good walk to the village, but not really much further than from Maison Blanche.
