Any idea's on how to remove the standard car aerial from the dash of MK1 Y2K tuscan? replacing it with an active unit to improve reception.

The unit I'm replacing it with is http://products.hirschmann.com//produ

Hi,
I have a 2000 Tuscan, and noticed the aerial in the nearside front light cavity whilst changing a bulb last week. It looks like a 'standard' extendable unit which has been put in then extended.
Dont know if yours is the same - it might have depended on the fitter or which day of the week is was!

Hope this helps!

Cheers

I've heard good things about the modwise kit and have been meaning to fit one to mine for ages.

The ModWise aerial kit worked very well on my Tuscan, much better radio reception than my Sagaris.

It will take you maybe 3 hours to fit maximum.

Definitely worth every penny.

Just for reference, the hirschmann aerial has now been fitted, along with a power filter, all the snap crackle and pop from both AM and FM interference has disappeared. Not bad for £20 quids worth of parts and half an hour of my time.

Could you please e-mail me the details of where you got this & also how you fitted it. In the simplest terms possible

Thanks

Hi,

I am currently trying to improve the FM reception in a 2000 Tuscan. Could someone forward me the previous email if they still have it?

Many thanks,

Mark.

Hi guys [and girls if any looking]

Leaving the TVR fold, my Tuscan spent 1/3 of the last year in the dealership one way of the other. If you need info on the aerial upgrade and the speaker upgrade click on my username and email me direct,

Could you mail me the link to one of these as well.

Was looking for the modwise kit but he seems to have disappeared!

Sounds like a good mod. Why not post a set of fitting instructions here for others?

Cheers,

Tom.
