And for that reason quite cool in an odd sort of way.

If I could buy that car cheap I would get rid of the horrid plaque and change over the wing mirror glass. I doubt very much it will ever be a collector's item. But its a weird sort of retro-cool in its own right.

That's what's so ...errr.... retro about it.

Its so vile its come all the way back around to *cool*.

Although that Good-Taste-Bypass surgery I had recently may be affecting my judgement.

Must be the GT3 side stipes in red or preferably blue that make the difference

There are more threads on this accross the forums than you can shake a whole forest at.

The interior is just vile. Wood is for Rovers & Jags - not Porsches

The interior is certainly......er....challenging. I'd drive it but for the fact it's tiptronic.

Seriously, I haven't got any problem with the exterior colour and the wheels look good. If it's got every conceivable extra available, I should imagine it's a porky porker!

Someone with an Ebay account ask him for the proof that this is the highest spec 996 ever... find that so hard to beleive and it's a huge part of his poor sales pitch!

check out the question from a "potential bidder" :

Q: Hi, would you take my son's pedal car in p/x with the balance of 47k sterling wired to you from a distant relative of mine in Nigeria? My uncle's grandfather owes me 500k sterling so if he sends you this amount in the form of a Disneyland cheque could you take your 47k and forward the rest to me by western union? Please don't be put off by the fact my email address is registered in Africa I actually live in Bradford!!. Tank-you man.

How exactly does "no reserve" and a starting bid of £47,500 work then ?

* Stop the press * 911virgin are having a no reserve clear out. That`s right all our stock is going without reserve to the highest bidder. Pop over and place a bid over the price in the winsdscreen. You may get your dream car for just £1 over our advertised price.

No Western Union Transfers please

Form an orderly queue.

Course you do - look at the size the frikin rear wing!

So high it needs a cross brace.
