Can anyone tell me where this is?

Mine seems to have probably gone o/c and is causing the red snowflake light to be on permanently (it never worked properly since I've had the car).

Would like to replace it if anyone knows of a good source.

Many thanks
Darren

Hi there, you should find the sensor on the n/s front behind the indicator lamp or just behind the front grille.
It's only small and frequently goes open circuit.
The actual sensor is a thermistor and changes it's electrical resistance with temperature.
The sensor looks like a piece of twin core flex which just ends with what looks like
black heat-shrink sleeving over the end. The sensor is inside the heatshrink sleeving.

Just had a quick look in the bible and it says you might also find it inside the front wing.
Hope this helps.
Cheers Paul.

98 Chim 450. Mine was lying loose under the air filter! It is fairly useless anyway as it just goes to red well before things get really cold. I tested with a variable resistor and despite fine adjustments could not get any other colours!
