Breakdown Cover?

Guys

Whare do you guys get your breakdown cover - I used to get mine for £50 through my insurer A Manning. I switched from them as they do not cover non-TVRCC trackdays but cannot get cover (for a reasonable price) anywhere!

Many will not cover me because the car is over 10 or 15 years old and 'Quote Me Ridiculous' today quoted £214 (despite their advertising saying it is individual and from £22 pa!)

Try an insurance quote off "Footman James".
I pay about £200 per year fully comp (29 years old on a 4.5 wedge, garaged, Birmingham) and this covers breakdown!

I have jus changed the car insurance but will give them a call re breakdown cover.

Green flag do cover for any age of vehicle I have my wedge and my 40 year old Beetle with them. Costs vary depending on cover.

Speak to your Bank, I unknowingly had cover as part of my current account, once I finally got around to reading the small print I realised - DOH! Used it on several occasions when the Cerb went pop last year with no problems or hidden extra costs.

I think the RAC wave the extra charge for cars over 10 years old if you are a member of a car club. You will probably have to phone up and talk to a human to arrange this though.

Im with RAc full cover, did not ask age of car.
