Button under the mirror hesitating?

My door release button under the mirror seems to be hesitating when i want to get in to the car.It can some times take about four attempts to get in with me some times having to push the button hard to get the door to release.Funny thing is i dont have the problem when im inside the car and i want to get out?

mine was same! it was the 2 contacts on the inside of the mirror! get a small soldering gun and resolder them! but dont hold the iron on too long cause it may melt the inners! Or fit a new switch

I have had the same trouble.

I fitted a new switch a few weeks back, took 5 mins.

My passenger door did the same a while back. Mine was because the multiplug in the door was seriously corroded. New multiplug fitted wand all new pins crimped on sorted mine.

Rght here goes.How do i get inside the mirror?.Are the door button and multiplug an RS componant specific to TVR? once inside the mirror i shall check for any breaks.

I haven't ever removed my mirror glass, but i assume it just pops out. Then the button and its wiring will be plain to see.
The mmultiplug for the door requires the door card to be taken off. 7 or 8 allen head screws around the door. Different lengths, so be sure the short ones go back where the short ones come out.
When lifting off the inner door be aware that there is a floating plug for the speaker and button wiring.

Then all should be pretty obvious.

Mine was doing this the other day - it gave up last night on the way to the hotrodders nighta t the ACE cafe.
