Just got back home and pulled up, the fans came on which is normal as the temp was just before 90c, but when I switched the engine off they stayed on which has never happened before.
I let them run for a few minutes they stayed on, I restarted the car drove round the block and they stayed on. The temp fell to about 80c and they were still on so I parked up and left them for 5minutes but they refuse to switch off, the temp went down to about 60c as well!

I have now had to unplug the fuse for the fans other wise I would get a flat battery.

I had a new radiator a couple of months ago and everything has been fine both before and after, could this be the otter switch?

Any help much appreciated.

Not been a good week what with the smashed number plate as well, the only highlight is I have now been through a decent tunnel since getting the straight through pipes fitted

Could be the otter switch has stuck, or the relay has stuck, or there's a wiring fault on the loom to the otter switch.

Its difficult because you have got the later car. In mine the fans are connected to the ignition, so you turn the ignition off and the fans go off.

I would try the otter switch first though, with the fans running disconnect the otter and see if they stop, if they do its the otter. If they don't then you have lost me because I thought the fans were earth switched through the otter.

I would say it could not be the otter as its supply goes off with ignition, unless someone has modded it. If its a later car with two relays/fuses it would be very rare for both relays to be sticking so must be something rather odd ! Mine run on after ignition but mine is modded.
