anyone know the width of the roof? I know the car width is 186cm but trying to book a ticket on the german motorail and it's asking for roof width specifically... cheers!

I'd just tell them roughly 170 ish, I mean what measurement do they want top of the roof or the Bottom ?? Its wider at the body? Cant see why they need to know that with car being so low. Understand if it was a tall 4 x 4.

I'd have thought the height of the car was more critical - after all there all pretty similar width wise!!!

Indeed I think height is more important, but on the website there are 2 dropdown boxes - roof width (choices: up to 135cm or 136-155cm) and height (several choices, which depend on the selection made for the roof width!). Baffling, but you have to choose one. However may be academic as they apparently don't have any more spaces for convertibles. They don't let them on the upper deck (odd, as the car is faster than the train), I believe in case the roof comes off and damages other cars. And there's no space left on the lower deck. Or there may be, my friend in Germany called them for me, since the UK office was useless, and there may be one space left provided the car height is <130cm, which it is.

Anyway according to the manual the track is 1460mm so I'd have thought the roof width is less than that. Anyway I'm home now so I may as well go out to the car park with a tape measure!
