You pretty well get what you pay for... but you knew that already
Find a place with a good reputation (one they wont want to loose!) and make sure they are experienced with fiberglass.
I had the rear end sprayed about five years ago. This included a new bumper moulding, 'cause the original was cracked, and new rear lights. The total came to 3k5 so assuming the parts were IRO £500 that's 3k for paint/labour. This was an insurance job so that obviously bumped prices up and I insisted on it being done at a particular garage (used and approved by local Lotus, Lambo, and Maserati dealerships). Absolutely fantastic job and still looks good today, almost made up for being stuffed into in the first place.
Price could be anywhere from hundreds to thousands. If you want a top quality result and want to save a few beer tokens see if they will knock the price down if you do some of the stripping down. If you take the lights/pods, indicators, repeaters, bonnet, grill etc off that should save a few hours labour. If you decide to take this further and start the rubbing down then make sure they are happy to pick up where you left off and make sure that they understand that they are to FINISH the preparation to their own satisfaction. That way if the finish isn't perfect then they can't say it was your bad prep work!
Personally I'd take everything apart to save menial labour but leave all the preparation/filling/rubbing down etc to the pros.
Make sure it's complete before BBWF06 or leave it to be done over the winter! Hope to see yo there
