You could try North Hants Tyres (now in Aldershot) as they usually keep some in stock.....although I did buy most of there last stock

Mobil 1 5w-40 is not readily available in the UK and has to be imported. GM dealers including those selling the Monaro (LS1 engine) all use Mobil 1 0w-40 which you can buy anywhere. GM have confirmed to me that is ok to use.

You can buy the correct viscosity made by other manufacturers. Your choice.

This may help:

My Denso plugs recommend 0/40w so Halfords suits me perfectly

I use Halfords own brands,i used to use Mobile1 then heard of others using halfords fully syn at a much lower price, even drag race with it and with no problems at all,ive had no problems.
Just lately ive been going to Kwickfit, they can do a Fully syn change for around £39.95 but you supply the filter, worth checking out in your town.

Cheers for the tip Cliff. I'm due for a filter and change, having a lazy arse period and can't be bothered with jack up/axle stands/drain pan/ blah blah blah.. I'll check it out.
