Just got back after 2 weeks away. Meanwhile in jolly old Blighty it's been pi**ing down, snowing and generaly doing its worst.

Didn't stop theThing from starting first time.

"No big deal" I hear you cry, except that I can now count three different occaisions when my 328 has failed to start after a trip away.

328 is a great car, I'm just not sure why the Chimp (not PC I know) has such a poor rep in comparison to the godlike bimmer.

Maybe I just got a good'n

Yep - me too - came back from FOUR weeks in the States in September and the tiv started very first turn as if I'd not been away. I deliberately didn't alarm it though which must have helped...Audi is two turns at the moment to get it going, so the German v. Tiv starting score (with your BM) is currently 0-2!! Anyone able to make it 3? German machinery only mind...

Er, my old Scirroco blew its head gasket on the A74(M). My Tiv started first time after sitting in storage for 6 months. Very impressed. Gets used all the time now!

The TVR has never failed while I have had no less than 7 big faults with a 1yr. old BMW.

I was worried about having a TVR for an everyday car now I am not.

Trackdemon - 6 months!! Wow that's impressive - what's the trick? New battery before you left? (come to think of it my old Golf also blew its hed gasket in the Czech Rep)

Majorider - 7 faults? OUCH - that's gotta hurt the full BMW warrantee!! What on earth were thay? Tiv gloating news indeed...

Well that's 4-0 (5 if Hutch has a knackered polo he's not telling us about!) Anyone else?

That's a 5 then - no knackered polo here just a cool Chimaera who's Waxoyled undersides are probably caked in salt from over use during the past week and in need of some love and attention at the weekend. Give it up for Waxoyl!
