Sunroof or NO Sunroof on new black 997 S
Discussion
Hmmm Sunroof- Well I have one in my 996TT...and to be honest it is quite a small sunroof and having it open makes a buffeting noise. It does not let any light in as it is steel not glass.
It has a slight benefit on tilt for some discreet(ish) ventilation if you choose not to have the AC switched on.
Other than that I do not see the point in having one to be honest.
So for me I would not spec it.

I don't personally see why sunroofs even exist these days.
If you want to be cooled down just switch on the a/c, if you want fresh air, just open a window. Why spend extra to get 30+kg added to the car in the worst possible place in terms of it's effect on centre-of-gravity...................
I'm 6,1 and did notice the reduction in headroom between the 2S w/o and 4S with sunroof (although probably onl due to the contrast.
I liked the sunroof in my old Audi S3 but that was glass so even when not open let a lot of light into the cabin - don't see the point with the steel 911 sunroofs
