I need to get new tyres for my 996tt. The car is an early 2004 model, 19k on the clock, still on the original tyres. I do not use the car for trackdays, although I am often tempted... Most mileage is on motorways, at fairly high speeds... Any idea which tyres I should go for? Can anyone recommend a good place in/near West London that can supply and fit the tyres? Many thanks for any advice!

www.protyre.co.uk/

Have depots in Slough and Enfield.

I've dealt with their Bristol branch when I bought two Pirelli Assimetrico N3 for the front axle at a cost of £254 inc fitting etc. Just ordered in two rears for fitting next week and the price is £355 inc fitting etc.

RSR Tyres in redhill. They will go out of their way to source the original tyres and come up trumps on price. Worth a call and the treck round the M25.
Or Elite tyres in dagenham if its any closer.

Bracknell tyre quoted me £344 for two rear P-Zero assymetricos, a couple of weeks back. If you've already put new pirellis on the front you should go for the same on the back not a good idea to mix and match different tyres.
