Some geezer asked if Rossi looked looked a bit ordinary in the last race. Now what do you think?
I really do think this bloke, Rossi, is one of the real greats...we should rejoice in his presence.
Shame, though, that he still can't pronounce the name of his employers.

Vale has more talent than I will have in 3 life times!!
The Yamaha is clearly not the best bike out there....but win with it..he does..

Vale is one of the very best racers ever IMHO. Stoner looks like he's got what it takes too. Right up there so soon - very interesting. Have to say I'd love to see Ducati take the title, 'cos I'm a huge Ducati fan. Then again I'm a Rossi fan so either is good for me. My ultimate is Rossi on a Ducati - that I'd love to see

And I'm sure Rossi could take the title with the Ducati.

Ask this geezer if anyone else on the grid could have taken a pig handling M1 and done what he did with it in Qatar?

He was toying with everyone again. Didn't he notice how quickly he repassed Haydon after he'd made the lunge at the first corner and THEN how much further he pulled away? More than he had earlier in the race. He was, once again, head and shoulders above everyone else out there.
He even toyed with Stoner for five laps before making him realise he was still a young pretender.

The guy truly is the greatest we've ever seen on a motorcycle. And I doubt there will be someone along to eclipse or replace him for a long, long time. I'm starting to question whether a move onto four wheels would be a good thing for him, but then, when he's that far ahead of the rest of the grid (in terms of talent) where else and what else does he do?

The problem any of the other riders out there have is that if they don't topple him this year (if he does leave to F1) then they'll be the constant questions as to whether any of them could have beaten him. And that will be harder for some of them than just getting beaten on a race weekend.

What he said, Biaggi got _nowhere_ with the same bike after several years of development. Rossi won the the championship on said bike the year he took the project over....

I would suggest the M1 was still early in it`s development when others were campaigning it...it`s a different machine now ... His talents at developing the bike are not in question, niether is his riding ability...I do think when the european races begin he will start to clean up ...

Rossi on a Duke? That'd be brilliant. Che spettacolo. I find that much more emotionally stirring than the whole Ferrari idea. Probably ain't gonna happen, though.
My son tels me that in the autobiography ("What if I'd never tried it?" Vale writes about Ducatti being too like Honda for his tastes...they don't pay enough attention to the rider's input, apparently.

[quote] And I'm sure Rossi could take the title with the Ducati...
d'y'reckon Rossi'd win on a Vespa? That'd be a hoot.
How's about that then guys and girls?

He went to yamaha as it was an underdog team, and he still wins. The honda he came off doersnt look as competetive now does it?

Also when you see greats from the world of WSB, who would make us mortals look rubbish, when they join motoGP, they stay at the back of the grid. Rossi can ride well.
