Off the top of my head I would imagine the programme hasn't got details of a Jago Jeep/Geep/Sandero (presuming that's the type of vehicle you're trying to enter) entered in in the first place????

Depends which companies you are trying to get a quote from....many's the time an insurance agent has said of course we can insure it and when they get all the details it's the case where the computer says 'No'

I've had insurance 'discussions' over on the JOC site....it's well documented that personally I like to talk to a human being when it comes to such matters, however, that's just me and I do know that some of the Jago Club Members insure their Jeeps via the arranged on-line service with the insurance broker which offer JOC members a discount. (discount which can also be got from other brokers as well)

My first Jeep was insured through Adrian Flux some years ago without any problem.....although I am currently using Graham Sykes at Exmouth who I find extremely efficient.

If you prefer using the computer rather than telephoning, send an e-mail to one of the brokers outlining what kind of Jeep you're after and they should give you an idea of the cost. To get 'Club Discount' though, you will need to join the JOC and send off your membership card (or a copy) to the broker. Rates sometimes vary depending on which sort of cover you want.....there may be breakdown cover which you may not want, so it can be cheaper if you ask not to have it etc., I know you're after a smaller engine size, just a thought though....ask if it's much more for a 1600/2000...you may be pleasantly surprised.

If you do get your Jeep, and you need immediate cover....make sure that you get the insurance cover note serial number.

Questions about insurance are a little like asking, "how long is a piece of string?"
I have insurance with Footman James on both Jago and Scamp - The Scamp is reasonable whereas I think the Jago ridiculous. Same individual 2 different vehicles - I am puzzled.

Apart from that I would go with Driftwood's advice.

apologies to Footman James as I genuinely forgot about them, especially as the guy I bought my first Jeep from was with them. End of insurance broker apologies....there's probably tons more brokers about but I've done enough plugging on their behalves on here lol.

If anyone would care to start a thread on Insurance...then go ahead....I could fill pages for them but I doubt if some of the insurance industry would like what I have to say. Jon's piece of string analogy is about right, quotes depend on the time of year, where you live, if the vehicle is parked on/off the highway, no claims history, age of driver and on and on and on..........

I would expect the going rate for a Jeep for a reasonably mature driver with a good history around the £100 - £120 per year mark....fully comp.
