Great day yesterday, shame there werent more S series but there were 4 of us, me, Harry, Joo and Profstoff? With both Harry and I posting respectible 13.8secs for the 1/4 mile with a strong head wind, I think we were both happy with that, there were 5ltr cars slower than that 
and Most Cerbs only posting around 13 secs that cant be a bad time, so pretty pleased with my first time on the strip.
The highlight for me had to be (sorry Harry) the head to head with me and Harry were Im glad to say I proved red ones are faster after all.....
Ill try to post the video as soon as I get a bit of time.

Mike good run although (picks excuse 11c from book) I spent most of 2nd gear trying to get it to grip . I think as I've said previously, there is little in most tweeked S's if you have 260 or 280 you are going to be hard pushed to see the difference. The biggest difference is the driver and I'm not so good . A good day all round with at least 4 S's running the strip

I was very disappointed to record 14.8 consistently .. I have 60bhp more now than when i was last there (when i did 15.1 as my best time), but as Harry says getting it to the tarmac is hard at teh Pod .. might even have been the user-friendliness of being 60bhp down that helped my times before .. can't ever remember getting wheelspin into 3rd gear last time (though to be fair i wasn't kind on the throttle this visit)
anyway I was so upset i've just put my S back on the dyno to make sure i'd not lost 60bhp again! .. made 237hp straight away so no excuse on that front, it's still near enough a 240bhp car.
Must just be me a crap driver (no corners you see )

not planned at all .. overshot into stage, reversed and *thought* i'd taken it out of reverse and far enough across the gate to go back into first, sadly i went back into reverse.
Fortunately I'd seen the Beemer break on the line so was doing a very gentle start .. dumping the clutch in reverse gear would have meant a return trip to the workshop on the back of a low loader
My 1/4 mile time was 22 seconds
I crossed the line at 50mph Somehow after starting in reverse my heart just wasn't in it on that run. Yes i felt like a fool, but nothing broke and i live to fight another day

Yeah never had the car try to spin in 2nd and third before, it was a little slippy?? Is this normal, I would have thought being a drag strip it would be made of grippier stuff...
Great day though agreed with the power, getting a time same as yours is good enough for me, as I said its been known a while yours is king of the power stakes, just good to know the recent engine work, was money well spent, makes it all worth while.
Joolz there was a strong head wind which may be why the time doesnt seem that much improved?

That was one of my gripes, no sooner had you got to 'stage' and the green was on
, I would have much preferred to have spent a couple of seconds getting the clutch/handbrake at optimum myself. I have managed a 13.5 with less power before but could only manage a 13.8 yesterday, not sure how much was down to the start as I got a 2.1 60' though. Using first myself, tbh grip was so bad 2nd may have been better .Hoover. said:

Mine was the only V6 there (where was everybody?). The run in the picture was the only time I got bogged down in wheelspin which is why I was so far behind, otherwise I'd have had him
