not sure i understand if to qualify for the top 64 you race of set a time. Looking on the rules section of the site you have to set a time. If this is the case then awesome but if you have to race against others then it will be total carnage, until obviously the top 64 race.

I've entered my gamertag to register but i'm not sure why you need to do that as they say you enter via the tournament option in your career area!

ok so who is still trying to qualify for this? with the bar now sitting at 53.60 its bloody difficult.
I am improving slowly on it. My best first split is 12.15. Not sure on my best second split as im to busy lining up for the next corner but my average is 33.40. Yet i still can't beat 53.94. I equalled 53.94 three times tonight!!!
I've now dropped to 138th in Europe. Where is everyone else and what are your times.
What technique do you use are you using for the chicane?

My technique for the chicane is as soon as it changes to 5th i shift down to 4th easy off the gas and line up then floor is all the way through and out of the chicane. I then change down to third for the right hander.

I can't match your time as I can't string a lap together, if I managed all my best sections, I could do a 53.9, but I have no idea how I would get more from it

However, I have taken the 1st right hander after the chicane in 4th with the right line

I just lift for the chicane and get 2 wheels on the kerb to help kick it in at the right angle.

You are all doing better than me. My best is currently at 55.84. The bar is now down to 53.53. I note that the European bar is lower than the North American or Asian one. Jezza, your time is well within the bar in Asia (currently 54.18). Perhaps you could enter there?

Put in a 53.78 earlier. That puts me 117th in Europe. 1st split was 12.30, second split 33.12. Didn't seems like a good lap either. Could have been a 53.50 if i'd taken a better line through the final corner.
Can't believe the US and Asia qualifying times are so high!!!
