Ian at Middlewich has just fitted Pro Tech Suspension and 17" Alloys on my Chimaera.I tried the car a couple of weeks ago and thought mmmm, it's ok. Went back to see him last night and he adjusted the shocks to hard. WOW. What an INCREDIBLE difference. This is how a Sports car SHOULD feel. Steering razor sharp, feedback through the wheel and superb handling. Many thanks again to Trackcar for the suspension and to Ian for the time spent setting everything up and fettling it to perfection.

Nice one remember you can get away with the front being quite well damped and not impact too greatly on ride comfort .. run it hard enough to get the handling precision you require
at the back you feel everything so generally run that as soft as you can get away with without sacrificng the back end feel you want.
Have fun

Hi Mongoose, I've had a new set of Image alloys, Billet 63, but they've altered the angle of the centres slightly to acheive a deep dish effect. they look stunning and will post some pictures when i get the car back. Imagewheels.co.uk if you're interested.

Actually I don't think they're expensive, just had 4 billet Alloys, 17" with new Toyos for £1600. Seems very reasonable. I M H O

Mongoose,if you look on the Image site, at car photos, Billet Wheels, mine are ths same( almost ) as on the new Morgan, although it says Billet 60 by mistake. As I said, photos to follow as and when.

Petros,i've decided on these i think, for my griff.Have to say that once i went back over the figures with the appropriate discount,it's not too expensive really.I was looking at the all billet finish initially, but thats not what i want.I think these are a great copy of the OZ split rims that TVR did originally.www.imagewheels.co.uk/wheels/large.
Just have to get around Mrs M now!!

I think they look great Petros, but better on the chim than the griff i think.I think i'm hooked on the 'OZ lattice look' ones for my Griff now

Know what you mean. Have the wheels treated though, no maintenance. Speak to Harry at Image, know his stuff.

Excellent upgrade with teh shock choice, can you not adjust them yourself? i'm trying to understand why Ian needed to adjust these, but i am unfamiliar with the adjuster mechanism.

Also what sort of cost does this mod represent, something i would like to change this year as my supercharged MX5 outhandles the Chim easily?

They are simplicity itself to adjust Andy, they give a very positive linear progression with each click. They're top quality stuff. At present Trackcar are selling them at a much reduced price, down from £800+ to around the mid £500's from memory.Have a word with Julian at www.track-car-solutions.co.uk
ps.i know what you mean about the MX5,the wife has one and theyre pretty good in the handling department arent they?!
