Brake master cylinder
Discussion
Does anyone know how the brake master cylinder is configured?
I've got a problem with a binding front brake (nearside)as the car or brakes warm up. The caliper looks in good condition, I've fitted new seals for the caliper in case the rubber had expanded. I've cleaned and copper slip'ed all the sliding surfaces - still the same.
I've come to to the dangerous conclusion that it's a problem with the hydraulics which means a lot of work so I'd like to be sure. What I don't understand is whether a fault in the master cylinder is likely to affect just one front wheel.

One front disc getting hot would suggest a local problem.
Although a different car, I spotted this on a car I was about to buy recently after a test drive. The seller took the car to her favourite garage and they released her of money but failed to fix it completely. A new caliper sorted it.
As you appear to have cleaned up the piston/seal (presumably you checked it moved freely before replacing), I suggest you jack up that side and check the wheel spins with a minimum of resistance.
After that, check for warping with a dial gauge.
Then compare with the other side.
Discs can have some resistance particularly when left standing after being wet.
Let me know.
