I'm noticing the passsenger side bonnet/bulkhead is extremely hot even after quite a short run, so much so that the wiper washer pipe has come apart and the end looks melted. Can't even hold passenger wiper because it's so hot. Engine running upto water 96/98 degrees but then seems to drop back with fans...engine oil at about 84 degrees. Have I got a problem?? It's a brand new Tuscan Convertible I picked up on Thursday.

Sounds like a trip to the dealers might be in order?

I'll be there first thing tomorrow morning....only thing I can think of is leaking manifold..it's so bloddy hot.
Why oh why do TVR owners put ourselves through this??? It's an absolutely beautiful car!!!!...But why oh why do we have these hassels????.....
Passenger window seems to have a mind of its own... you want it shut? Well I might ... then again I might not.... oh go on then I will close... of course you know what happens when you go to dealer....sods law

all normal, thats the exhaust side of the engine. Expect broken engine mount on that side due to the heat at least every two years. Great design by TVR.

Sorry to hear about your problems, i have done 3000 miles 2 track days and not a thing has gone wrong (kiss of death) as witney says that side gets very hot, hope you get it sorted soon.

Been to the dealers ...everything OK, as you both said they get extremely hot on passenger side. Problem with the window washer pipe melting was caused because the rubber pipe was not pushed right up the spring of the wiper so the plastic part which has the spray holes was very close to the heat source... something to watch for. ...all sorted now and been off to Southport this PM. Do leven do Tuscan Wipers yet?? I put Leven on my Chim and they had a proper spray element rather than holes in as was then metal tube (of course now plastic). Thanks Whitey and TOVIE ,I'll probably be bothering you again, but it's nice to get your reassurance.

Try using Lizard tape on the manifolds, it works wonders on heat retention.
