Put my 4.2 on a rolling road

tested her out on a rolling road yesterday and was astounded by the results.

power - 342 - so 8 horses have escaped but that could be as much down to the air flow as anything else.

Torque - she has actually got 2 more torques than TVR said she would (I am so techie!)

Amazed as I was assuming that I would be lucky to see better than about 325 BHP.

The power line is not very smooth though. Anyone know how I address this?

Is 342 good for a 4.2?

My 4.2 was 343.3, I'm told that 340 ish is faitly normal, nothing to worry about there.

See threads here passim. Rolling roads vary a lot, but that seems decent. Which one was it? You can smooth things out a bit with a remap, but it's really a fundamental part of the engine setup. Enjoy the character! Flat torque curves feel weak & boring
