AJL did you say you did?

Anyway, might be looking to get one as my cheap home-made shifter is excellent so thought I'd try and get hold of one of these as an upgrade
Then maybe turn the home-made one into a button box and maybe a handbrake (Nice little project for my spare time )

If anyone has got one, would be interested to find out how realistic it feels, and if you have ever had (or how often you get) a bad shift.
One other minor detail: does it already come with something to mount it to a seat/desk? If not i'll have to do a bit of trial and error to find the best way

Dave.

Hi - been offline for a few days due to a buggered ADSL connection! Yes I have one of the first USB shifters, and it's good fun Only problems are the springs which fatigue and break after a while, leading to missing gears, and it's also a bit noisy as the lever clacks between the slots.
It mounts to an angled strip which is clamped between the wheel and the desk. It holds it pretty well, though you sometimes have to retighten the clamps (I've got an old Logitech Wingman FF).
The new one looks quite good and I'd be interested to see how you've made your one

May invest in the new one, although at £100 all inclusive, plus any taxes on the way in it's a tad pricey.

Mine cost £10 and works using force feedback and the guts of a Joystick
Just need to make a shifter plate or 3 to stop it popping out of gear.
