Hey All,

Just wondering where the cheapest place is to get a D200? The girlfriend has agreed with my justification for buying one, so i'm now on the lookout

I haven't seen anywhere cheaper than Warehouse express, it's just a matter of when they have stock in.

Just taken a look on ebay, noticed this one from a UK seller based in Sale http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NIKON-D200-DIGI

Cheers. Tempted, but I think i'd feel uneasy punting £1k over PayPal and hoping to get a D200 in return!

Find out where they are, it's worth £50 in petrol to make the trip and pay cash in person.

Thanks guys. Managed to find a few shops on the web that have stock (apparently!). Still summoning up the courage to actually call up and recite my credit card details - it's a LOT of money, especially for a camera!

Join the club, my hand has been hovering over the phone for a few days now... It's not so much the money, it's whether it's sufficiently better than the D70.

Mind you, D70+Kit lenses are still going for 450+ on ebay second hand, so I guess you can recoup that from the cost!

That was the original plan, but I'm very nervous about doing paid work with only one camera - if my D70 were to go bang, i'd be scuppered, so the plan is to relegate my trusty (but 6k shot old) D70 to 'backup' and have the D200 as my main body. I'd also be hanging onto the 18-70mm lens.
