Difficult to say - can't see any led's or any other elec. connections. I reckon it's an empty box with a TVR label.

Is it a fault code reader, the plug is the same as the FCR one next to the ecu on them new fangled Hotwire thingys

It is a hersuitometer.

(the "es" have been removed after the word "test"

I am no expert but I would say that its a module to test your TVR. "does exactly what it says on the can"

Thats my theory sorry if no help

Probably a device to test the BHP on a TVR So it's a box that produces random numbers......
