How thirsty is your TVR?

I've been tracking the cost of petrol for my Tamora Red Rose since it was delivered and was wonder if anyone else has been doing the same with their TVR?

For my Tamora petrol cost averages £0.950/litre with 18.32 mpg to date. Lowest petrol price has been £0.869/litre and the highest £1.049/litre.

I'm getting about 17mpg average in my Chim - that includes a fair bit of town driving as I commute in it twice a week at the moment

I'm getting about 11mpg average in my Griff- that includes a fair bit of driving it like I stole it at every oppurtunity

Griff 500: worst is about 13mpg , best about 26mpg - on a French motorway after severely miscalculating the distance to the next service station

Average is upper teens so, not so bad for a 5l car.

36mpg from my chim 4.0! Is that not normal??

I'd like to think so. To be fair, it can get a little depressing as My other car (a Skoda Fabia SDI) got 63mpg this morning with half town, half country driving..17miles In the Chim its like pulling the plug in the bath... I like to take an average of the two to make me feel better.
If not blasting too much I get 23/24 driving nicely which is great but I imagine 15 if nailing it or less.. average 20ish...??

I'm down to around 17mpg from about 20mpg in my 99 Chim 450. I think I'm doing many more short-ish journeys.

Did a 500 mile round trip this weekend, averaged 28 mpg (Chim 500)!

True. If you buy a TVR, its like writing a blank cheque to the Mr.Shell anyway! It would matter if you were going to use it every day at 20000miles a year but then dont buy a TVR. I do 20000 miles a year but have another car to save the petrol money on so its not an issue really... or Maybe just asking a simple question just out of interest?

I regularly see 30 plus mpg from my V8S .. it's quite a good car in that respect .. I have no idea what i get on track, single figures probably, but on the road I drive like an old granddad hence 30mpg is a very real figure for mixed driving in town/country.

a 500 gobble more than a 400 and 450 - but well then it would.

I never got more than 200mile on tank unless on a long M-way run.

Mine I can get mid twenties easy on a run now - but again low teens if pedal to the metal, and well below 10 if on track in full brain out mode.

Bank on around very hi teen average, unless a 500 and u like the loud pedal!!

Griff 500, average 24mpg, best 30, worst 19, but then I am an old fart. Not much passes me, mind, except on motorways. (wide elbows )

But then again, I always seem to get better mileage than other people on similar machinery. On my Honda Firestorm VTR1000, most people on the owners list were averaging 32-36 mpg, I was on 40-44. On my Kawasaki ZRX1100, general mpg seems to be around 40, mine is 45-48.

But then, my mechanics when the vehicles are in for service all comment on relative lack of wear on brakes etc, so I guess it must be down to smoothness and anticipation.

People getting 25 plus mpg in a TVR ??? Are you all nuns .
Never been above 20mpg in any of mine. Usually more like 15-18.
Note to self: must invest in lighter footwear.

I'm rather light footed and never managed to get over 20mpg so I wouldn't worry too much!

got just over 30 MPG on the day of picking the car up from basingstoke back to king'lynn, never bothered to look since just fill it up every time i go out, or every 200 miles, must point out it started to rain on the way back so was just cruising
