Hi guys,

I am about to get my S1 back on the road today after pulling it out of the garage. I got it late summer last year and after lots of work on it barely got time to use it. I have restored a bit of it, like the hood was broken, and got it to the point it starts reliably. Still need to adjust the dreaded bonnet gap! Anyway I am un SORNing it today and keeping my fingers crossed for a bit of sun, well no rain would do.

I noticed when I was pulling it out one of the rear shocks is knackered. It's a wee bit bouncy. MOT is due in August so I will need to sort that before the next MOT. Any ideas where I can get them from, baring in mind I am a poor 26 year old that has recently been made redundant It is an early S1 with twin bonnet releases.

Thanks
Ian

I've just replied to a thread on the wedge pages "Brown trouser moment". If you have a faulty shock absorber DONT drive the car till you have replaced both rears and preferably all 4 shocks. They are nearly 20 years old and will all be knackered. If your life or the lives of other road users is not worth £300 or thereabouts then that is sad. Please dont drive on the same roads as me my life although some may disagree is worth a bit more than that. Death is final sTeVeR
