An italian cottage sportscar manufacturer in the british tradition

www.motorsportcars.it/indexita.htm

A Locost seven replica with a Benelli Tornado motorcycle engine.

Very small outfit, but very interesting idea to develop

hi fuoriserie

I can't really see the point of that car (there are already a million seven-copies around, so why producing another clone?), but anyway let's appreciate the passion. the engine can't be a benelli tornado one, since the bike has a 3-cylinder engine, and not a 4-cylinder one.
I'm sorry for the guys involved in the project, but in my opinion the AFR1 won't "mark the history of car in the third millennium", as they wrote on the site. Cheers and compliments to them all the same, as they stopped dreaming and started building what they wanted

...let me just add this one www.freestreamcars.com if you want to see a car that, if well sorted from all points of view, will be a real milestone in car history

Hi K3T4-mine,

You are right, the images on their website are related to the first prototype with a yamaha r1 engine, but the second prototype has a benelli engine, check this link for info :

I totally agree with you on the Caparo T1, a great looking concept sportscar.

Maybe some Italian sportscar manufacture should look into this concept for inspiration, and design a more affordable but similar Italian sportscar. Any takers??

Ciao
