shampooing the carpets

is this an advisable DIY job? my light blue carpets look a little grey and really need a thorough clean. are there any products/techniques best for TVR carpets?

No reason why not DIY - but it's a lot easier with the seats out, and the doors wide open (which means I can't do it in the garage). I find the foam / aerosol type carpet cleaners are best. Car Plan is my choice, but I can't find it any more

G-boy, do you need to shampoo them as a result of your Boxster entanglement? Was it really that good

nup, the whole inside has been neglected and i cant have a car that isnt looked after. i'm gonna do an autoglym job on the carpets myself to keep cost down.

any ideas on what i use to apply the autoglym stuff (non foam)? hmmm or is this a question for mother!
