I have a 95 chim, noticed there is no sealer around the headlight cowlings. It results in being able to see the unpainted edge of the cowl, which against the body colour-copper green is noticeable.
Does it need it??
If so what sealer is used??
Can it be done properly without removing them??
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks
Nick

Mine had no sealant either. However both sides were painted, I did seal them though with clear sealant, I think any outdoor sealant will do i.e. waterproof, mine was silicon (sp)sealer. I took mine off to do, very easy, should be two 10mm nuts on each one holding them on, If you put you hand behind the grill you should be able to feel them!! Hope this makes sense and remotely helps!!!!
cheers

I think the cowl should be fully painted but it doesn't need to be sealed to the body.
