www.foto.com

I recently purchased 2 B&W prints a 30x45cm £3.49, and a 50x75cm £4.89 postage was £3.00. quality is good reproduction from my screen is slightly off but I know this from my own prints so corrected version is not bad if slightly dark. downside is turnaround of 7days. colour prints I will be trying next.

How strange, from a previous post about my first use of Pixum.

The pictures from pixum have turned up, and the quality is stunning.

I've scanned one at 200dpi on my HP3970 scanner and resized both original and scan to 700 pixels wide.

Original

Print

The second is straight off the scanner - NO modifications (you can see the slight border at the top where it wasn't dead straight).

Can't fault that.

Just my 2p....

Ordered 20+ 8x12 from Foto sunday night, dispatched Monday, delivered today.

Extremely happy, better than photobox and I can get SIX from foto for the same as one from Photobox (and two from Pixum).

Foto will be getting my business for now.
(Until they pee me off )

Hank?

Don't understand. Foto is 39p for a 12x8, pixum 55p. How do you get to half the price?

Foto's prices do look very good though - any chance of scanning back in one you've printed ala mine above?

Pixum's on special at the moment, when I ordered they were 83 (or 89) p each for 8x12.

I didn't think to scan them and the delivery I got has been passed on so I don't have them any more, sorry.

Will deffo do it on the next lot (which should be by next weekend)

7 days on from placing my order with foto.com and according to their online order system it hasn't even been processed yet.

I think I'd rather pay extra than wait 10 days to get my prints!!
