That's nothing...
1/2 of these have no passwords..
Car + Laptop + Wireless / connections you can pick up while driving down a street (taken from another forum)

Ooh, so I'm a criminal Woohoo
If it's unsecured then it's obviously public access
So if I leave my front door open... come in and eat my food???? Your neighbour sounds like an internet newbie... someone else might decide to do his PC some harm. Surely the right thing to do is warm him/her of thre dangers and help them secure their connection. It's what I'd want my neighbour to do if it was me!!

If it's not secured there shouldn't be any problem. Is it really something the criminal law should be concerning itself with?
So if you don't lock your house and someone pops in, has a look about the bedrooms and sits in your lounge.....?
Not a criminal offence.
If it bothers you that much, pursue a civil action, try and demonstrate the loss which you have suffered.

A recent court case, which saw a West London man fined £500 and sentenced to 12 months' conditional discharge for hijacking a wireless broadband connection, has repercussions for almost every user of wi-fi networks

Obviously a numptie before the beak.... An open network is public access.
In the last week I've broken the law in at least ten different ways, one more won't hurt
And I'll be back on my own network when I go porn surfing later
No problem, but no whining when they stuff you for a monkey and 12 months CD.
