Cerbs at the Pod

I know the times are on the other thread, but it would be good to see all the Cerbs together, with a brief discription of mods, engine/suspension etc.

Mad Mark.....Cerb4.5LW - 12.627s - 110.82mph
Mods -- Austec remap, decat, 25kg's of speakers in boot and a bonnet that kept opening at 2/3 distance.

4.2 Tuscan race cams full remap by TVR power de-catted and full race suspension,but im afraid didnt take part in the runs.I was the purple flip Cerb parked in the holding area.

My bonnet pops open at speed too. My old man has a milling machine and lathe for his model steam engines, so I'm hoping I can use these to something together that to improves upon the standard bonnet catches. I've recently acquired a large lump of ally off ebay for the very purpose.

Hi Steve
Does your bonnet handle lock into place when you turn it? Mine didn't but I have now found the cure, even if it does by tightening up an allen key bolt it should lock it more securely. (quite a simple job)

IS NOBODY ELSE PREPARED TO SHARE THEIR MODS AND TIMES?

Bonnet pins would work for sure, but might detract from the clean lines I'd say. I want something that looks like it was original, or better than original, something that's not obvious at first glance.

Well after Sat im seriously considering it.Whilst on the way to Santa pod and with the bonnet firmly locked the bonnet started to lift at speed,to the point that my view was completely blocked.

Where did it lift from? If it was the corners then your rods need adjusting.

Yeah it was from both corners,ive already had it adjusted.

If yours locks, which you say it does, you can adjust the point at which it locks so that it keeps pressure applied to the bonnet. Also have you got the rubber gromets in the bonnet?

These times are taken off the other thread from the general section and give a sample of how the Cerbs did on the day. I think there may still be one or two times missing, but most are posted up above. I don't know what mods everyone else has, but I am sure that they will vary from Emerald remap, linked de-cats, Whirlwind Induction (like mine) to Red Rose spec engines and remap (like Nickccc) to fully rebuilt engines with bespoke manifolds, short induction kit and mapping (like Tims ACT Cerb), to std set up cars.....

Updated with slow poke me at the back. I did have a final run against another Cerb, which I didn't get the time slip for. I was in the right hand lane. If anyone has a time slip against B11 please post it up.

Is there any means to extrapolate what your car might be capable with a decent launch? Looking at the times from the rest of you folks, I don't think I did the old girl justice.
