damage to my car - advice
Discussion
well might as well tell the story
next door neighbour while parking (me not in car but saw it with a friend)
decided to reverse into it and move it back 1 foot
then go forwards and do the same again
so went out side a went said what the fuc* are you doing you just knocked my car back a foot(luckly in gear no handbrake)
any way about a 1 inch long maybe about 3/4 centmeter high where gone though the paint on the bonnet and a scuff about 2 foot long on the leading edge of the bonnet with another bit below bonnet about the size of a 50p whee has removed the laquar and some paint, also looks like the near side bonnet support inside is now loose/bent.
(taking to hexham tommorrow for them to look at)(oh and she did not say sorry fo doing it)
anyway
asked for he insurance details yesterday and she has not given me yet, and dropped a letter asking today for the insurance and not given yet
what should i do next (police-insurance to chase)
any ideas
thanks

Might be an idea to get as many photos as you can of both the damage to your car but also any damage to hers, no matter how small - a slight scratch/dent on her bumper could well help prove she hit something.
As has also been mentioned it may be worth contacting anniesdad, even just for some advice, he sorted my Chim out very professionally last year when my neighbour did a similar thing. BTW mine just looked like a 50p size chip in the paint and a few scratches but needed completely stripping and re-laminating as it had cracked the fibreglass under the paint - total cost of repair almost 3 grand!

You dont need her insurance details, the insurance company just need her name and address and they will sort the rest out. As for the police, if you have her name and address they wont be interested, been down that route before with an uninsured driver.
Don't bet on it.... wife and I are due in court this week over exactly the same issue, BiB are throwing the book at the poor little chap....

I had a woman drive into the back of my Chim a couple of months ago.
Gave her name, address and car details to my ins co legal protection dept who were brilliant. From the reg number they confirmed the TP car was insured and with which company, who they then phoned. A week after the accident the TP had not reported it to her ins co. The legal protection boys wrote a strongly worded letter to the TP and her ins co, this did the trick. Next thing they admitted liability and their assesor came round and authorised repairs.
Brilliant service, Service Motor Policies, arranged through Sharp ins services.
