Ford Focus performance mods??

I have a ford focus 1.8 and am lookin to get it tuned or engin mods that i can do to it. I already have a K&N 57i (have had one on ever car they are great well worth it!) but am lookin to get some real horse power gains out the engin. Has anyone got any ideas to what can be done? Ihave thought bout new ECU but dont know the costs or where? NEED HELP!

Supercharge it!!

ABT Motorsport up near Crewe had a Focus demo car which they had done this to. 1.8 like yours, and I think it was kicking out about 240bhp and cost about £3k.

That should do the job nicely!!

Get in conatct with Power Engineering. They work with a lot of big power focus's (have built a 400hp WRC rep!). Not hugely clued up on the focus but for big gains i'd go woth a 2.0 block and turbo it.

i am not completely sure how to get a focus up to 400 brake but i know a friend who has an st 170 he has had it blue chipped k&n air filter. new throttle body and it has been remapped soon to be turbo, supercharged... it will keep up with the new rs it will be pushing about 300 somthing brake


a lil secret about the st 170.. it doesnt come standard with 170 brake it only has 150 brake... STANDARD

As above nice bump.
Secondly this is a load of garbage.It was not 150bhp.I have seen power results of between 165bhp to 169bhp standard,ford quoted 171bhp.
Then 178bhp with very basice mods such as exhaust or air filter.
