Linux ISO's / Good Book for Linux Newbie

[dtmpower]

As per title, I have tried Mandrake briefly, need a few more iso's to try, what's good at the moment for general pc/internet/email/mp3/vide/pic editing.... and is there a book out there that is good for me, a reasonable Windows user to get into Linux. Is Linux for Dummies any good or can anyone suggest somethign else, maybe from Amazon ?

some good distribution iso here:

You can 'buy' some distributions in book stores. Suse comes with all the media (DVD), a printed handbook and 90 days installation support:

Ubuntu is about as brainless as it gets - but can still be more than a little annoying if you want to do anything non-standard (ie not in the default setup).

Support for it is pretty good (through a wiki site) but you will likely end up going to the support forum in the end.
